ALCANTARA | Touching Tales
ALCANTARA | Touching Tales
Alcantara wished to be in the spotlight at IMMCologne, with an outstanding event to remind the international audience of the material’s inner values.
Far from the concept of a typical Fair rendezvous, they asked for Share support in order to create something disruptive. The idea was to involve a creative partner that would take part in selecting the artists and the venue in Cologne and would handle overall communication of the story. DAMn°, the independent magazine with an open-minded view on the interchangeable worlds of design, architecture and art, was chosen and accepted the challenge.
After a seeding phase the selection fell on four maverick studios who were initially invited to the Alcantara plant in Nera Montoro, in the centre of Italy, the only place in the world where the trademark material comes to life. Colours, decorations, unlimited potential. The journey had begun.

For Touching Tales - The Alcantara Experience Formafantasma, Moritz Waldemeyer, Henrik Vibskov, and Anton Alvarez - were thus called to ‘experiment’ with Alcantara® to create unusual, surprising installations.
Their works were featured in two different locations in Cologne: the Kunsthaus Rhenania in the Rheinauhafen complex and at IMM Fair.

The project was the occasion for opening a dialogue with artists.
Here the impressions of Formafantasma, on stage with the project Strata, also during Milan Design Week at Palazzo Litta for the A Matter of Perception event.
